The 701 List ("we," "us") is an independent local directory of North Dakota home-service businesses. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. We keep it short and plain because that's how we try to run everything.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you fill out a form on the site (for example, to claim a listing or request a match with a pro), we collect what you enter — typically your name, email, phone, and any details you provide.
- Usage data. Like most websites, we use basic analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, general location, device type). This is aggregate and not used to identify you personally.
- Business listing data. Our rankings and business profiles are built from publicly available information (such as public reviews and business details from sources like Google). This is public business data, not personal data about site visitors.
How we use it
- To operate and improve the directory.
- To respond to inquiries and connect you with businesses when you ask us to.
- To understand what's useful so we can build more of it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site — for example, an analytics provider and a form/email provider that delivers your form submissions to us. They only process data on our behalf.
